Appellate Alert, Criminal Law Alert & Slip Opinions
Appellate Alert is compiled and distributed weekly to alert government legal units to developing case law potentially affecting governmental activities in Florida. Criminal Law Alert focuses on developing case law related to the criminal justice system. Editions of both publications dating to the Fall of 1995 are available through AG Link in a searchable format. (Boolean searching may be used). Each edition includes links to the slip opinions cited. Slip opinion records include a headnote, the opinion text in a searchable format and, where available, the actual Word file released by the court. Slip opinions also may be searched independent of the Alerts citing them.

Attorney General Advisory Opinions
A link is provided to the Attorney General Advisory Opinions section of the AG's Internet Home Page, where a special searching form is available for advanced Boolean searching of AGOs dating back to 1974.

Court Reporter Contracts
Under Chapter 287.059(13), Florida Statutes, the Office of the Attorney General is authorized to competitively bid and contract with one or more court reporting services, on a circuit-wide basis, on behalf of all state agencies. The Attorney General has in place contracts for the current fiscal year. These contracts allow state agencies to procure, at a low price, such services without the administrative efforts necessary to select and hire court reporting services individually. Current contracts are listed geographically and include highlights of the services offered.

AG Library Catalogues
A "real time" on-line card catalogue for every AG Law Library in the State is available in a searchable format.

Sunshine Manual
A link is provided to the Government-in-the-Sunshine Manual on the AG's Internet Home Page. The manual may be searched and is available for downloading in an abridged edition in both Word and Acrobat formats.

Pro Bono Opportunities
A searchable directory of organizations seeking pro bono legal services is available for Florida Bar members wishing to provide such services. Updated annually, the directory lists organizations geographically.

AG Phone Numbers, Maps, Addresses & Attorney Profiles
Links are provided to a directory of AG unit phone numbers, fax numbers and mailing addresses as well as printable maps to AG offices. The professional profiles of AG attorneys are also available.

Other Resources
An "other resources" link offers information and file downloads that may be useful to government legal units. Included are a Request for Outside Counsel form and model Standard Agreement for Private Attorney Services in both Word and Acrobat formats.
